A Brief about Our Organisation

 

Adivasi Chetna Shikshan Seva Samiti (ACSSS) is a Jhabua, M.P., based NGO, founded by tribal youth with the aim of bringing social and economic changes in the lives of tribal people. The organization is involved in empowerment of local tribal communities, especially women, farmers and marginalized sections by directly providing them with health, education and employment related services, raising awareness on important issues, livelihoods related skill building, and supporting micro level initiatives through SHGs, for the last twenty one years. The Chetna High School, Gadwada, Jhabua, which is being run by ACSSS, is the major educational institution of the area, catering the education related needs of  local communities for the past thirteen years. ACSSS is intensively working with the tribal youth, especially in the context of education, health, livelihoods, migration and working for the betterment of the tribal community. Manju is a community facilitator, working with PACS partner Adivasi Chetna Shikshan Seva Samiti in the Jhabua District of Madhya Pradesh. In 2014, she was one of 350 field facilitators who took part in our “With.in Leading Together” training programme.
“With.in Leading Together” was a year-long programme aimed at building the knowledge, skills and capacities of field facilitators, like Manju, who work to support Community Based Organisations in our programme areas.
