Education

Chetna High School

Educating and empowering tribal community is at the top of the agenda of the organization since its inception. ACSSS is carrying out various activities to educate tribal communities in Jhabua for last two decades. It includes initiatives to extend the basic education in the remotest areas while providing formal education to the boys and girls of local tribal community. Organization is running a secondary school, since 1992, at village Gadwada under Gadwada Panchyat, block Jhabua. Currently, 150 boys and 77 girls of the rural areas are getting education in the school. This school is playing a pivotal role in providing education to the boys and girls of many villages of Jhabua block.

Assessment 2018-19
We provide free education and highly subsided hostel related facilities, including food and cloths, to students of marginalized background. Apart from this an extensive training program for upgrading the skills of our staff is needed. Again, we have come across a community level need to carry out an adult education in five villages of the Jhabua block. This adult education drive will empower the males and females of the community, most of them migrate to neighbouring districts and cities on seasonal basis to earn their livelihood.

Digital Literacy

About Internet Saathi in Jhabua.
Entire Jhabua district total 120 Internet Saathis who have helped over 21000 women learn about the Internet across 380 villages.
From Digital Literacy to Digital-Based Economic Opportunities
As we expanded Internet Saathi, the one common factor we discovered across the country was the enterprising nature of the women in the villages and their passion for positive change. This inspired us to work on a model facilitating digital-based livelihood opportunities for the Internet Saathis along with digital literacy to enable them to continue their positive impact on their community.
